Linda was born in Nashville, TN on August 25, 1931 and attended the University of Tennessee. She married her high school sweetheart, Bill Hale, in Knoxville 67 years ago.

After moving around the country as Bill climbed the corporate ladder, they settled in Jacksonville in 1973 where they built their dream home on the Intracoastal. With their boat docked in their backyard, they became lifetime members of the Captain's Club of Jacksonville. Capt Bill and his First Mate Linda spent their free time cruising and fishing the Florida waters with family and friends.

Linda worked as an insurance claims adjuster, served as a Girl Scout leader for many years, and spent countless hours gardening--one of her many loves.

She is survived by her husband Bill, their three children Susan, David and Laura, grandsons Brad and Alex, sons-in-law Ramon and Ron, and beloved feline friend, JoeCee. Linda's only sibling, brother James Rust ,preceded her in death.

Friends and family will remember Linda's beautiful smile, her generous spirit (she had a hug for everyone,) and her devotion to the love of her life--Bill. We will miss you Linda, Mom., Nina.

A service and reception to celebrate Linda's life, will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, September 17th, at HARDAGE-GIDDENS FUNERAL HOME, 1701 Beach Blvd., Jacksonville Beach, FL.
